Uncut ID Director Makes Headlines With 30 Minute Holiday!

Uncut ID director Ian Dack made the national press on Saturday 20th September with a story about how an airline altered his flights and made a mess of his holiday plans. Ian and several friends booked to go on a short break to Warsaw in October with bmibaby but a week later received an email from the airline saying that the outbound flight had been cancelled. Unbelievably, the flight they offered as a replacement went out on the same day as the return flight, meaning the group would have landed at 1.40pm and flown back 30 minutes later at 2.10pm! At the time the airline had no way of contacting customer relations apart from writing a letter. Ian wrote four times, over a period of seven weeks, but the airline did not respond. Finally, Ian contacted the BBC to ask for help, and help they did. The next day the story was on East Midlands Today and Radio Derby, and the following day Ian was featured on Radio Five's Breakfast Show and even made The Sun newspaper! Needlessly to say, the airline contacted Ian and offered a refund and an apology. He is now going to Prague instead - with Easyjet!

The Erewash Beer Festival 2008

The annual Erewash Beer Festival in Ilkeston was a smash hit this year and we were pleased to be involved with the local branch of CAMRA in coming up with a new brand for the event. Bringing the event into line with larger festivals we came up with a new logo which was used on all marketing and advertising material to give the event a consistent image. The logo was also used to great effect on the commemorative glasses and even on the clothing worn by the CAMRA volunteers who staffed the event. Our advertising and posters also helped attract customers and ensure that this years beer festival was the biggest to date. Roll on next year...
